Alejandra Jaramillo’s son, Sebastián. Ecuadorian television host Alejandra Jaramillo, a panelist on Univision’s ¡Siéntese quien pueda! and the recent winner of the reality show ¿Apostarías por mí?, opened her heart to share one of the most difficult and mature moments of her life as a mother.

During one of the TelevisaUnivision reality show’s episodes, «La Caramelo» honestly revealed how her son, Sebastián Muñoz Jaramillo, made the firm decision to leave the United States and move permanently to Ecuador to live with his biological father, Justin Muñoz.

Although this type of separation is heartbreaking for any mother, Jaramillo explained in detail the family and personal factors that led to this important decision, emphasizing that she had the support of those closest to her.

A difficult process guided by family wisdom

According to Alejandra Jaramillo’s account on the program, Sebastián’s move was not a spontaneous decision. Initially, the teenager’s father tried to relocate to the United States to be closer to his son.

«He also tried to move to the U.S. with our son,» Alejandra confessed, while describing her former partner as an exemplary father. «He’s always been a good dad, always.»

When Sebastián expressed his desire to change his place of residence, Jaramillo said she experienced deep sadness. During that difficult period, her current partner, Colombian influencer Beta Mejía, played a key role by offering her support and comfort.

The presenter explained that her son originally suggested an alternative arrangement: spending one month in Ecuador and one month in the United States. However, she herself rejected the idea, putting her son’s well-being first. «I told him he needed stability,» she emphasized.

Faced with uncertainty and conflicting emotions, the guidance that ultimately helped came from Sebastián’s grandfather. Alejandra Jaramillo’s father stepped in to advise her, helping her realize that, despite her desire to keep Sebastián by her side, the best decision for the teenager was to allow him to live with his father.

A dream of becoming a professional soccer player
Beyond the family dynamics, Sebastián’s decision is closely tied to his professional aspirations.

According to Ecuadorian newspaper Extra, the teenager has decided to dedicate himself fully to sports with the goal of becoming a professional soccer player.

Through question-and-answer sessions on his official Instagram account, Sebastián Muñoz has made it clear that his absolute priority is soccer, dismissing any interest in pursuing a career in entertainment or commercial television.

At one point, he was considered for participation in the segment «Los hijos del Ecuador» on TC Televisión’s reality show Soy el mejor. However, his parents, Alejandra and Justin, mutually agreed that he should not join the cast in order to protect his focus on his athletic development.

Sebastián currently lives permanently in Ecuador under a shared custody arrangement. From there, he maintains a close, positive, and frequent relationship with both Alejandra Jaramillo in Miami and Beta Mejía, whom he has publicly described as a good friend and a positive source of support for his mother.
