At the age of 92, the beloved Hispanic actress Ofelia Núñez Castro passed away.

«Ofelita,» originally from Cuba, had a career spanning over 60 years, excelling in both radio and television.

Although she is recognized as an actress, her first steps were in the world of music as a pianist, influenced by her mother.

Later, she ventured into theater and recitation, where she found her true calling.

Hortensia Gelabert was her acting teacher, and she also studied at the Hubert de Blank Municipal Conservatory of Music.

CiberCuba also reported that Ofelia Núñez Castro won the «Buscando Estrellas» contest by CMQ.

After this victory, she made her professional debut in the entertainment world, primarily in radio and television.

In 2008, she was awarded the National Radio Prize.
