Myrka Dellanos is going through one of the most challenging periods of her personal and professional life.
In less than a year, the journalist was laid off from Telemundo and shortly afterward received a diagnosis of skin cancer.
Her departure from the network occurred last October, when she was part of the afternoon show La mesa caliente.
Months later, she underwent surgery to remove the lesion, in a process she described as both physically and emotionally demanding.
Myrka Dellanos’ Surgery, Recovery, and Faith
In March, the TV host shared details about her medical procedure.
“On Tuesday I had surgery—they removed it and gave me a skin graft, and now I’m recovering,” she explained.

She confirmed that the procedure was successful and said she is maintaining a positive attitude following the diagnosis.
“I’m grateful to God that everything is already out and believing in faith that it will never return,” she said.
“One Thing After Another”
Myrka Dellanos acknowledged that the difficulties came in succession.
“Recently I’ve received bad news, I’ve faced difficult situations in life one after another,” she said in a video shared on social media.
She admitted there were moments of uncertainty and personal questioning.
“Thank God I’m a woman of faith because honestly, I don’t know if I’d still be standing,” she said candidly.
Myrka Dellanos’ Message for Those Facing Hard Times
Rather than focusing only on her situation, the journalist shared words of encouragement for others.
“I want you to know something I’ve experienced many times in my life… when the world tightens, that’s when you realize God is closest,” she said.
According to her, faith has been the foundation that has kept her strong during adversity.
Myrka Dellanos added that she feels God is “truly holding your hand” in the toughest moments.
