It didn’t take long for Lupillo Rivera to exact ‘revenge’ on Telemundo and do the unexpected: appear on Despierta América.

Despite being a favorite of many, the singer ended up in third place on La Casa de los Famosos, behind the host and model Maripily Rivera.

What nobody saw coming was Jenni Rivera’s brother asserting that in this reality show, many wrong things were said and done.

His intention was to leave a ‘well-marked mark’ on LCDLF

In the attentive gaze of the hosts of Despierta América, Lupillo Rivera stated that his goal upon entering LCDLF was to leave a ‘well-defined mark.’

When asked if he liked his third place finish, he couldn’t help but smile and said he would leave that decision to the public.

Furthermore, the singer mentioned that he gained many things and taught many of his colleagues faith, which they had lost.

Without entering into controversy about Maripily’s victory, he said, «If she was meant to win, then she was meant to win.»

Will he take legal action against Maripily?

Another host of Despierta América, Francisca, asked Lupillo Rivera if he will take legal action against Maripily for everything she said about him.

«When you enter the house, there are things that will be said, as long as they are true and not fabrications,» he expressed.

And just when it seemed he would leave the matter at that, the singer revealed that he is talking with a legal team to determine what actions can be taken regarding Maripily’s statements.

«The truth is, I am very at peace with my conscience and I am very happy to move forward,» he added.

He clarifies his ‘romance’ with Thali

Before ending the conversation, Lupillo Rivera clarified to the hosts of Despierta América about his alleged romances on LCDLF:

«I never fell in love with Thali (García). She is a married woman, with children, with a family, a woman with principles,» said Jenni Rivera’s brother.

Regarding Ariadna Gutiérrez, he stated that she is a young woman he was courting and that it’s a situation he needs to avoid.
