According to EFE, the woman nicknamed the “Ketamine Queen,” Jasveen Sangha, pleaded guilty to charges related to the death of actor Matthew Perry.

The case, which shocked Hollywood since October 2023, returned to Los Angeles courts this Wednesday with the defendant’s confession.

Sangha, 42 years old and holding dual U.S. and British citizenship, faced five federal charges linked to drug distribution.

Her plea marks a key point in the judicial process involving a network of five people accused of illegally supplying ketamine.

At the federal hearing, Perry’s parents, Suzanne Perry and her husband, journalist Keith Morrison, were present.

Sangha pleaded guilty to three counts of distributing ketamine and to storing drugs in her Los Angeles home.

She also admitted to the most serious charge: distribution of ketamine resulting in death or serious bodily injury.

Authorities confirmed that she stored and packaged substances at her residence that were part of the trafficking network.

Ketamine Queen Guilty to Face Sentencing in December

The “Ketamine Queen” now faces lengthy federal prison terms for each of the charges.

The charge of storing drugs in her home carries up to 20 years in prison.

Each of the three counts of ketamine distribution carries a maximum penalty of 10 years.

In addition, the charge of distribution resulting in death could bring up to 15 years in prison.

The Network Behind the Perry Case

Reina de la ketamina, Jasveen Sangha, culpable MundoNOW, Ketamine Queen pleads Guilty in Perry CaseDoctor Salvador Plasencia, known as “Dr. P.,” already pleaded guilty last month.

According to the indictment, he supplied the drug to the actor through his personal assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa.

Other defendants in the case are Dr. Mark Chávez and Erik Fleming, alleged suppliers of the substance.

Both Chávez and Fleming, as well as Iwamasa, pleaded guilty to conspiracy last year.

Prosecutors Accuse an Organized Criminal Network

The Department of Justice (DOJ) charged the five with being part of a criminal organization dedicated to distributing large amounts of ketamine.

Prosecutors claimed that all of them exploited Perry’s addiction problems to enrich themselves.

The actor, famous for playing Chandler Bing in the series Friends, received the fatal dose on October 28, 2023.

That day, the drug was obtained from Sangha, provided by Dr. Plasencia, and administered by assistant Iwamasa.

Matthew Perry’s Battle with Addiction

In his memoir Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing, published in 2022, Matthew Perry confessed his battles with addiction.

He recounted the difficulties of staying sober and his attempts to overcome dependence on various substances.

His death, caused by ketamine, was seen as confirmation of those struggles he never fully left behind.

The actor’s passing impacted millions of fans worldwide and reopened the debate on drug abuse in Hollywood.
