Weeks before the premiere of El Amor No Tiene Receta, trans actress Coco Máxima opened up.

According to El Universal, the model said that with her character, Nandy Galdeano, she hoped to be a catalyst for fostering social equity.

«We have the right to love and be loved,» she stated.

«(Trans people) are not crazy or mentally ill and can do anything that an ordinary person can do,» shared Coco Máxima.

Finally, in the interview with El Universal, actress Coco Máxima emphasized that being trans in Latin America is challenging, but that’s not all.

«I have received death threats on social media. Fortunately, it has not escalated to physical aggression,» she remarked.

However, the singer said that she was once physically disrespected by a couple.

Finally, she asserted that she does not need a man to feel complete or to feel like a woman.
