According to initial reports, the producer suffered a serious accident while riding a jet ski, and he was immediately transported to San Miguel Hospital in Cozumel.
It was on Monday, March 18th, when the news of the famous soap opera producer’s passing as a result of the accident was confirmed.

It was confirmed that Nicandro Díaz lost his life in a tragic incident on the southern coastal road of Cozumel, at kilometer 16, and not due to a water accident.
The incident took place after his motorcycle skidded while trying to avoid an animal that crossed his path, according to information from «Venga La Alegría.»
The police report obtained by the morning program details that Nicandro lost control of the motorcycle, which veered into an area of dense vegetation.

Although the rescue team quickly arrived at the scene of the accident, the producer was found unconscious, while his partner, Mariana Robles, suffered minor injuries.
