The disapproval rating of President Donald Trump reached a historic high in a new poll.

The data comes six months before the November midterm elections.

The results reflect a decline in public perception on key issues such as the economy, inflation, and foreign policy.

Record Trump Disapproval in New Poll

According to reports from USA TODAY, the Washington Post-ABC News-Ipsos poll placed Trump’s disapproval at 62%.

This is the highest level recorded in the history of this survey during his two terms.

The president’s overall approval rating stood at 37%.

This represents a drop of two points compared to February.

Other polls show similar or even lower figures.

A Reuters/Ipsos survey placed his approval at 34%.

The New York Times daily average shows a 39% approval rating.

In that same average, disapproval reaches 58%.

The survey was conducted among 2,560 U.S. adults.

Fieldwork took place from April 24 to April 28.

The margin of error is ±2.2 percentage points.

The decline in public opinion coincides with Trump’s handling of several issues.

The conflict with Iran is one of the most criticized points.

66% of respondents disapprove of his management of the conflict.

Only 33% approve of his approach.

The president’s weakest performance appears in economic matters.

76% disapprove of his handling of the cost of living.

Only 23% approve.

Regarding inflation, 72% express disapproval of what Trump has done.

27% support his management in this area.

On the overall economy, 65% disapprove of his performance.

Approval on this issue stands at 34%.

This represents a drop of seven points since February.

Support Divided by Political Affiliation

Among Republicans, support for Trump remains stable.

85% approve of his performance within this group.

However, among Republican-leaning independents, approval dropped to 56%.

Among independents overall, support is just 25%.

Support among Democrats is even lower.

Only 5% approve of his performance.

95% disapprove.

In electoral terms, Democrats show an advantage.

They hold a five-point lead over Republicans in the House of Representatives.

This exceeds the two-point advantage seen in previous polls.
