«It will be official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders, male and female,» he declared.
He also announced plans to keep men out of women’s sports.
These promises, including ending «transgender madness,» form part of Trump’s vision for a «new era.»
According to El Universal, Democrats and Republicans have increasingly diverged in their policies at the state level.
This includes transgender issues, ranging from medical treatment to which books are allowed in public and school libraries.
Reactions to Trump’s statements quickly flooded social media.
Moreover, Trump promised to put an end to «woke» ideology.
Originally, «woke» referred to those who are vigilant against racism.
The Republican stated that this, along with other issues, is destroying the country.
«We’re going to stop ‘woke.’ ‘Woke’ is garbage,» he said during the event in Phoenix, Arizona.
