President Donald Trump has escalated US military action in the Middle East.

According to Fox News, the US president ordered the deployment of 27,000 “Bunker Buster” bombs against Houthi rebel positions in Yemen.

The strikes were carried out using B-2 stealth bombers, launched from Diego Garcia, a key U.S. military base in the Indian Ocean.

These aircraft delivered the fearsome GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP)—a weapon specifically designed to destroy fortified underground bunkers.

The GBU-57 is the most powerful non-nuclear bomb in the US arsenal. Weighing in at 15 tons, it can only be carried by B-2 bombers.

The action sends a direct message to Iran, a known backer of the Houthi rebels, amid stalled nuclear negotiations.

“It’s time to hide,” Trump warned in a recent statement.

According to The US Sun, the airstrikes have already resulted in at least six deaths in Sana’a, the capital of Yemen.

Who Were the Targets?

The offensive appears aimed at eliminating command centers, missile storage sites, and other deep-buried facilities operated by the Houthis.

In response, the Houthis claimed to have shot down an MQ-9 Reaper drone using a locally made missile.

So far, US Central Command has not confirmed the drone’s destruction.

This military strike came shortly after a new round of US-Iran talks in Oman.

Although Omani diplomat Badr al-Busaidi described the discussions as “positive,” Trump has publicly stated he will make a decision on Iran “very quickly.”

Tensions continue to mount, and the use of MOP bombs underscores Washington’s readiness to use force.

This move could reshape the military balance in the region, making it clear that Trump believes patience with Iran and its allies is running out.
