Almost a decade after the separation of the singer Mijares with the actress and singer Lucero, the Mexican revealed some of the reasons that caused his divorce, in an interview with Yordi Rosado, according to the portal Univision.

He singer Mijares affirmed that one of the reasons why he separated from the beautiful actress was that he accused her of having taken revenge on him for ignoring him once when she was only 18 years old.

In the interview, they talked about the Mexican’s participation in the film “Escape with me”, and it was at that moment that Lucero’s name came up in the conversation.

“I know Lucerito in the movie. I knew her from TV, I knew she was ‘Chispita’. But in ’87, I know her. She must have been 17 or 18, it’s not much, but at a certain age it does count for a lot, ”said Mijares.

«Because I’m not an actor»

He even stated that when he met Lucero, he loved it, but at that time he thought that perhaps she was very young, in addition to that he was very busy traveling constantly promoting his albums and giving concerts.

After remembering those moments, he assured that he did not want to interpret the film: “Because I am not an actor. The truth is I never liked acting, nor do I know how to act, «said the singer.

He also mentioned that after finishing the recording of the film, he no longer saw it again, until 6 years later, when Lucero was already 24 years old.

“He would bring me: ‘Hey, I’ll talk to you tomorrow’, and I would talk to him and he wouldn’t answer me. It was worth it. Mijares reasons for divorce. In his interview, Mijares recalled that they had two work meetings before they started dating. The first was when he looked for her to sing on the album “El Encuentro”, the song “Cuatro vez amor”.

The second meeting was when they took the photos for the album cover, she even remembered that they asked her to call her: “Don’t make me talk to you. If it took me four or five years for him to answer the call, right now he’s going to send me dancing. And so it was ”, mentioned the singer.

Lucero had given him her number so that he could call her, but she still didn’t answer him until the singer no longer insisted, but fate brought them together again in Guadalajara, and it was there that they saw each other more constantly.

She mentions that she had traveled to Guadalajara to sing at a wedding, while she did so to participate in a palenque. Lucero even invited him to come see her: «As the punishment had already been lifted, I felt,» he said.
