Accompanied by an original audio track, Peña addressed his partner directly, asking him to keep holding on while rescue crews continue clearing the collapsed structures.
He said:
«My love, today is your birthday. Dear God, please give him strength. My love, wait for me just a little longer—I’m almost there. Please, God, keep him alive. This is our song, my love. I’ll take a rocket and come for you. Please wait for me.»

Lenin Peña’s statement came after reports circulated on social media and in some news outlets claiming that Yordy Paredes had died.
According to a report by Univision, a rescue volunteer who identifies herself on Instagram as «Minemilagros» publicly stated on July 4 that Yordy’s body had allegedly been located in the ruins of the Caribe Residential Complex in La Guaira and that rescue efforts had shifted to recovering his remains.
However, Mister Universo Venezuela firmly rejected those reports through his official social media accounts, saying the information had not been confirmed by either his family or the relevant authorities.
He wrote:
«I have not found Yordy, please! We are still searching. Our faith remains unshaken!»
Days earlier, Peña had posted videos documenting his own descent into the second basement level of the collapsed building, where he helped remove debris with his bare hands. He also said that during the first days after the earthquake, he believed he heard sounds and knocking coming from beneath the collapsed concrete structures.

The comments section beneath Lenin Peña’s posts reflected both widespread compassion and the darker side of social media.
While thousands of users expressed solidarity, others condemned reports that Peña had been receiving hateful messages encouraging him to harm himself while coping with the uncertainty surrounding his partner’s disappearance.
One supporter wrote:
«How can people be so full of hate that they tell someone to take their own life? To those who have sent you messages telling you to commit suicide, please report them. They are committing a crime against you by encouraging suicide.»
In response to the harassment, many followers urged Lenin Peña to ignore the hateful comments and remain hopeful.
Another supporter commented:
«Everything those people wish upon you will come back to them. We’re here day and night worried about you, Fabio, Lucas, and everyone still trapped. Nothing is impossible for God.»
At the time of Peña’s latest public update, the search for Yordy Paredes remained ongoing, and authorities had not announced that he had been found. Peña continues to urge the public to rely on verified information while rescue efforts continue.
