Authorities seize two tons of methamphetamine hidden in fake watermelons

The United States Customs and Border Protection Office seized two tons of methamphetamine.
The discovery was made at the Otay Mesa commercial port in California on August 16.
The drugs were hidden in wrappings that resembled watermelons.
The shipment was being imported from Mexico in a trailer driven by a 29-year-old man.
Operation Apollo and Massive Drug Seizure at the Southern Border
During a secondary inspection, 1,220 packages of the drug were found. This seizure is part of Operation Apollo, a joint effort in California and Arizona.
